Early Paper Money of America / Rhode Island / 1775 June 16
£10,000 Lawful Money in legal tender Bills of Credit due on June 16, 1777 or June 16, 1780 with 2 1/2% interest pursuant to the June 16, 1775 Act. Same form as the May 3, 1775 issue except issued at East Greenwich. Two due dates for each denomination were issued. The entire issue was replaced with non-interest bearing bills of the Jan. 15, 1776 issue. The same signers appeared as on the May 3, 1775 issue.
