NEW BOOK: HISTORIA DE LA MONEDA EN PARAGUAY

The study of the historical evolution of events, phenomena or objects worldwidehas always been interesting. Getting to know the history and origin of items willalways be of importance for any society. This is how Raúl's new book was born, aresearch material entitled HISTORIA DE LA MONEDA METÁLICA ENPARAGUAY, in collaboration with Editorial El Lector.

Currency is part of the heritage of people and has represented over time; the idealway to exchange goods and services, although this process has not always workedin the same manner. Currency marked a shift in the dynamics of markets andthanks to them several activities in this area were simplified.

Numismatics is a discipline that starts from archeology and that is responsible forstudying the coins that are issued in a nation or country. It also refers to the act ofcollecting coins, even though they are not interdependent activities.

This book chronologically presents the history of our coins (PARAGUAY), from thetime of barter through its various periods and changes until it became what it istoday, one of the most stable coins in the region.

This book is dedicated to the memory of Don Miguel A. Pratt Mayans and Don VirHeriberto Alonso, two individuals who always gave me words of support tocontinue with this passion and who unfortunately left us during the period ofdevelopment of this book.
