James Jarvis

Married to Amelia Broome, daughter of Samuel Broome. He contracted to provide Fugio Cents of 1787. He owned a majority interest in the New Haven mint. The mint delivered about 15% of the required coinage. Congress voided the contract September 16, 1788. Most of the copper intended for the Fugios was used by Broome to strike lighter weight Connecticut cents.
