Chief Onepapa
Biography
His Indian name is Ta-to’-ka-in’-yan-ka (Running Antelope), a member of the Oncpapa Sioux tribe. His photograph was incorrectly labeled Onepapa and that name is repeated in many references.
His picture was selected to represent an Indian Chief on $5 silver certificates of 1899.
