Authority on primitive money. Author of Odd and Curious Money: Descriptions and Values (1986).
Past president of the International Primitive Money Society. He received the Krause Publications Numismatic Ambassador Award in 1995.
His collection was sold by Heritage on December 5-6, 2019.
