Constance Ortmayer
Biography
Born in New York City. Studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Employed with the Treasury Department to work on art for federal buildings. Professor of sculpture at Rollins College in Florida 1937 to 1968. Resident of Morristown, Tennessee, in 1984. Never married.
She designed the Cincinnati Music Center half dollar struck in 1936. She created a series of award medals for Rollins College and an award medal for the Florida Academy of Sciences.
