Biography

Born in Aiken, South Carolina. Received BA in 1961 from College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. Married in 1963 to Beatrice McKay. They have two children.

Served in U. S. Army 1961 to 1963 including duty as Officer-in-Charge at Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. He participated in filming of The Longest Day in 1961.

Employed with IBM Corp 1963-69; co-founder of The Computer Company 1969-1976; owner of a printing company 1984-89. President and co-owner of Osbon Medical Systems 1990-1997; retired.

Author of Jim Osbon's Silver Dollar Encyclopedia in 1976, second edition in 1979.
