Charles J. Ricard
Born in Rochester, New York. Great-grandson of John C. Lighthouse, Nephew of Charles N. Ricard and father of Marc Charles Ricard. In 2003 he received the ANA Farran Zerbe award on behalf of the family and their 100 year involvement with the ANA. Previously he received the ANA Glenn Smedly Memorial Award in 1993, an ANA Medal of Merit in 1991, Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996 and Presidential Award.
Graduated from University of Rochester Simon School of Business. Served in U. S. Army Finance Corps. Vice President of the First Chicago Corporation Trust Audit Unit and retired in 1995.
Past president of the Chicago Coin Club. President of Rochester Numismatic Association (1960) and TAMS (1993). Both clubs issued presidential medals featuring Ricard.
Served on the U. S. Assay Commission in 1965. Received the Numismatic News Numismatic Ambassador Award in 1987.
