William Frost Rickenbacker
Born in Beverly Hills, California. Son of Captain Eddie Rickenbacker and Adeline Frost. Graduate cum laude from Harvard in 1949. Served in U. S. Air Force 1951 to 1955. Married Alexandra Harriman Leys in 1955; divorced in 1973. They had two sons. Married Carroll Lee Douglass in 1973.
Employed as research analyst for Smith, Barney & Co. 1955 to 1958; investment advisor 1958 to 1961; senior editor of the National Review 1961 to 1969. President of Rickenbacker Report Corporation and Rickenbacker Enterprises, Inc. after 1969.
Author of Wooden Nickels; or the Decline and Fall of Silver Coins in 1966. Author of Death of the Dollar in 1968.
