Robert Alexander Weinman
Born in New York City; son of Adolph Weinman. Student at the National Academy of Design 1931 to 1939. Served in the U. S. Air Corps during WW II. Married Jane Morrison July 14, 1945. They had two sons.
Received the J. Sanford Saltus award medal in 1964. In 1975 he received the ANA Numismatic Art Award for Excellence in Medallic Sculpture.
He designed the John Adams medal for the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission struck in 1974.
He died at home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
