Samuel Casey

Biography

Born in Kentucky; died in Caseyville, Kentucky, a town named after him. (The town was disolved in 1987) Clerk of circuit and county courts. Elected to state senate 1830-32.

Appointed Treasurer of the United States serving April 4, 1853, to December 22, 1859.
