Named Outstanding Young Numismatist of the Year in 1976. He was responsible for YN activities at the 1977 ANA convention in Atlanta. Past president of Blue Ridge Numismatic Association and the Georgia Numismatic Association. Owner of a coin store in Atlanta. He was named a Numismatic News Numismatic Ambassador in 1992.
