Bruno Mankowski
Biography
Born in Germany, he came to America in 1928. Trained at the Beaux Arts Institute in new York. Served with U. S. Army 1942 to 1945. Received the American Numismatic Society J. Sanford Saltus Award in 1961. He received the ANA Numismatic Art Award as sculptor of the Year in 1980.
Sculptor of private commissions including the Medallic Art Co. and Society of Medalists.
