Charles Jenkinson

Biography

Born in Oxfordshire. He became Master of the Mint of Ireland in 1775. Named Baron Hawkesbury in 1786 and Earl of Liverpool in 1796. His son, Robert, became Prime minister of the United Kingdom.

Author of A Treatise on the Coins of the Realm: in a Letter to the King (1805).

He died in London.
