Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Married to Joann with three daughters. Served 23 years with the United States Air Force.
Dealer after 1977. Served on the board, as secretary, as treasurer and four terms as president of National Silver Dollar Roundtable. Served on the board for Industry Council for Tangible Assets. He received a NDSR Lifetime Achievement Award in 1995. He was named a Numismatic NewsNumismatic Ambassador in 1996.
