Janet Louise Yellen
Biography
Born in Bay Bridge, Brooklyn, NewYork. She graduated from Brown University in 1967 and received a Ph.D from Yale University in 1971. Married to George Akerlof with a son. Assisttant professor at Harvard 1971-1976. Professor at Haas School of Business after 1980.
Appointed chairman of the Federal Reserve and served 2013 to 2018.
United States Secretary of the Treasury after January 28, 2021.
Yellen is a philatelist.
