Came from Connecticut to Vermont about 1768. Served in Vermont legislature in 1780. Served as Justice of the Peace 178-1790.
He received a franchise to make copper coins for Vermont June 15, 1785. He established a mint near Rupert, Vermont. His first franchise expired July 1, 1787, and was renewed for eight more years. Harmon made an agreement with Machins Mills. They were to provide dies cut by James Atlee.
