The hair is somewhat smoother. Coronet tip close to star seven. Reverse Description: Similar in style to the contemporary double eagle but with different details: a heraldic eagle with ornaments to left and right, stars, IN GOD WE TRUST above, rays above stars. Around border, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / FIFTY DOLLARS, and ornaments. Coronet tip between stars six and seven. General Notes: 1877 $50 Half Union.
