Brenner Edge: Plain Obverse Description: Bust of Abraham Lincoln framed by IN GOD WE TRUST on the top periphery. The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side. Reverse Description: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter. Deisgner's initials of V.D.B. have been removed. General Notes: This interesting variety shows evidence of an initial S mintmark punch at a roughly perpendicular angle to the stronger S mintmark punched later. The erroneous mintmark placement can be seen with the naked eye and has become popular with series enthusiasts. However, it is not necessarily a rare coin, and its price points ' particularly in the circulated grades ' roughly approximate those of the non-variety 1909-S Lincoln cent. PCGS #: 92432 NGC ID: 22B4
