The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter. General Notes: With the exception perhaps of 1922 pennies, few issues among the 1920s Lincoln cents draw as much attention as the 1924-D, a true semi-key date and one of the most challenging Denver-mint issues from any period in the series. Even in circulated grades, the 1924-D is a difficult coin to obtain and one that trades at fairly expensive prices.
