The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter. General Notes: The 1926-D Lincoln cent is common in circulated grades, scarce but available for a price in the Mint State grades and rare in a grade of MS65 or better. This, or course, is a typical population spread for most of the 1920s branch-mint pennies. This is often best explained by the general lack of numismatists collecting Lincoln cents by date and mintmark during that period. Those who did save Lincoln cents in roll quantities often did so for the Philadelphia Mint.
