The word LIBERTY to the left of the portrait and the date and mintmark (If any) positioned on the right side. Reverse Description: Wheat ears flanking the words ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter. General Notes: There are a few types of 1941 doubled die cents, but the specimen known as Type I, exhibiting noticeable doubling on the obverse in the inscription LIBERTY and motto IN GOD WE TRUST is the most popular and valuable of these.
