The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter. General Notes: The 1933-D Lincoln cent is not a particularly scarce coin in circulated condition or even in many Mint State grades, but it does become a challenge in the higher Gem levels. This is not entirely unexpected, as this is a pre-1934 Denver-mint issue representing a period in the series when branch-mint coins weren't always saved in large quantities.
