Obverse Description: Liberty is portrayed, facing left, with cap on her head and the word LIBERTY on her crown. 7 and 6 stars on the left and right periphery, respectively with the date positioned in the bottom center.
Reverse Description: An eagle is centered in the design with a shield over its chest, holding arrows and olive branches in its talons. A ribbon above bears the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA around the periphery. The denomination listed as "5C." appears at the bottom.
General Notes: Capped Bust half dimes are comparably more common and easily obtainable than their earlier counterparts but also present their own challenges, particularly in the higher grades.
