The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA * ONE DOLLAR frame the periphery. Mint mark, if any, appears above the letters DO of DOLLAR. General Notes: The 1880-CC Morgan dollar with the Reverse of 1879 shows a slanted top arrow feather and a more rounded breast -- a design motif that was packaged among the larger grouping of 1880-CC Morgan dollars that made it into the GSA sale. In all, 131,529 examples of the 1880-CC Morgan dollar were offered in the GSA sale, though an untold number of those feature the Reverse of 1879.
