      General Notes: The 1868 Proof Two Cent Piece has an even lower mintage of 600 coins struck. Most of that mintage has survived. Scarce as of PR66 with brown and red-brown color. Full red examples are rare as of PR65. All pieces with cameo surfaces are extremely rare in any grade. Be on the lookout for nice toners as well as vividly red examples.
