      General Notes: The 1872 Proof Two Cent Piece comes from a mintage of 950 coins struck, of which the majority of that mintage has survived. Scarce as of PR66 with brown and red-brown color; and rare as of PR65 with full red color. Any cameo surfaces are great rarities in any grade. Look for either nice toners or blazing red examples.
