The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM on the top perimeter. General Notes: The 1934-D Lincoln cent is widely available in circulated grades, though in Red Mint State grades it becomes a very difficult coin, most especially in a grade of MS64RD and higher. By all accounts the 1934-D is the last Denver-mint Lincoln cent that is regarded as significantly scarce in the Red Gem grades. Much of the difficulty comes in finding examples that are free of heavy spotting and nicks. Problems with strike and luster are also evident on many of these pieces. PCGS #: 37741 NGC ID: 22DA
