The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM appears near the top between the wreath and letters STATES OF AME. General Notes: The 1902 V Nickel is the highest mintage so far in the series with over 31 million coins struck. It is very common from circulated grades up to and including MS66 with just the finest of gems as scarce. The perfect type coin as it is affordable. It is important to be aware, however, of striking issues as most are solid strikes but the existence of weakness in parts is quite common.
