General Notes: The 1930 Buffalo nickel is a widely common Philadelphia-minted issue and offers ample supplies in both circulated and uncirculated grades. It boasts a respectable mintage of 22,849,000 pieces and some 2,000 extant pieces in MS65 or better; dozens are known in MS67. So, while not as readily available in the better grades as other Philadelphia mint issues after 1934, this piece is far and away more common than virtually any of the other Buffalo nickels that preceded it in the series.
