General Notes: The 1984 doubled die Lincoln cent is a major variety with strong doubling of Lincoln's earlobe, bowtie, and beard. Several thousand examples of this coin may exist, but it nevertheless remains too scarce to satisfy all demand and due to its massive popularity with collectors commands strong premiums over regular, non-error Lincoln cents.
