General Notes: The 1979-S Type 1 proof exhibits a blobby-looking S mintmark and is the most common type of 1979-S proof Lincoln cent. Later in 1979, the mintmark was retooled to provide a much clearer-looking S and is denoted as the 1979-S Type 2 proof. The 1979-S Type 2 proof cent is a very scarce variety and is sought-after by collectors. PCGS #: 3457 NGC ID: 22MB
