Doubling is most prominent in the words FIVE CENTS. This piece is certainly a rare coin, with very few survivors in uncirculated condition. Most are encountered in the circulated grades. While there are a few hundred or so examples in circulated condition, there are likely fewer than three dozen in the uncirculated grades and only a tiny handful in the Gem grades.
