Reverse Description: A flying eagle, clutching olive branches, appears to be landing on the cratered moon, with the earth seen in the background. 13 stars surround the design with the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR framing the periphery. General Notes: The possible remnants of a previously punched S appear left of the primary S. Although this has been listed as an S Over S, there is speculation in the collecting community that it’s actually a damaged or rusted die. Very few examples of this variety have surfaced.
