The date is centered at the bottom under the portrait. Reverse Description: The reverse bears the denomination of ONE CENT in the center surrounded by a wreath bearing a ribbon with arrows tied in at the bottom center. General Notes: The 1865 Indian Cent comes with two varieties which are the Fancy 5 (almost looks italicized) and the Plain 5 (appears very dull and straight). The Plain 5 is the scarcer of the two. It is tough to locate this issue in all grades and is rare in Mint State. Red gem Plain 5's are very rare.
