General Notes: The 1897-O, much like other New Orleans Mint Morgan dollars, is common enough in the circulated grades but is scarce in uncirculated condition. This issue is not struck well, and uncirculated specimens don't usually possess very good luster. Thus, Gems are extremely rare, though a handful survive up to MS67. PLs and DMPLs are all rare, and none are known in the grade of MS65 or higher. NGC ID: 2566
