General Notes: This popular variety, showing trace remnants of a 79 inside the 80, is reasonably common in all circulated grades and into the MS levels up to about MS63. In better grades, this piece becomes a legitimate rarity, with MS64s extremely challenging and MS65s or better appearing in the marketplace on but rare occasions. Such is usually the case with O-mint Morgans, which are tough to find in Gem grades. PLs and DMPLs are rare in any grade and virtually non-existent at the MS65 level or better.
