General Notes: The 1883-CC Morgan dollar is one of the most common CC-mint issues in the series, with bag quantities discovered in U.S. Treasury vaults. These were distributed as singles to collectors during the silver dollar sale offered by the General Services Administration in the 1970s and early 1980s. Many of these pieces exhibit great strike and luster, with many Gem survivors up through the MS66 range, above which pieces become much scarcer. PLs and DMPLs are surely scarcer than typical MS strikes, but they aren't necessarily rare, just more expensive because of the demand for these pieces. PCGS #: 7144 NGC ID: 254H
