General Notes: 1886 Philadelphia Mint Morgan dollars in GSA government plastic are far scarcer than virtually any Carson City GSA dollar. And while the Great Silver Sale of the 1970s and early 1980s was driven by the excitement and nostalgia for Carson City silver dollars, there were a significant number of non-CC Morgan dollars that were released by the United States government. Any 1886 GSA Morgan dollar is worth a premium over typical raw or certified specimens of equivalent condition and can be found in either circulated or uncirculated grade as well as in soft pack or hard pack format. PLs and DMPLs, when encountered, are worth outstanding sums. PCGS #: 613694 NGC ID: 254U
