Michael H. Sura
Biography
Born in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania. Received B.S. from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Married Kathryn Gearon. She died July 13, 1962. Financial manager with Blauners and Wilbur-Rogers stores after 1924. Served as commissioner of the procurement department for the City of Philadelphia 1954 to 1961.
Served as Superintendent of the Philadelphia Mint December 1, 1961, to March 20, 1969. Vice President for Colosimo’s Inc., a firearms distributor, 1969 to 1972.
He died in his office in Camden, New Jersey.
