Maurice Frankenhuis
Biography
Born in the Netherlands. Married with two daughters.His family was imprisoned during World War II but they all survived.
During the First World War, living in a neutral country, he collected medals from both sides. He commissioned a medal, A Tribute to the Six Million,” also known as The Holocaust Medal. He donated a collection of medals in 1962 to the Museum Ha’aretz in Tel Aviv, Israel. Another collection was given to the British Museum.
He assembled another collection of medals made for Adolph Hitler.
He died in New York City.
