He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1983. He received a masters degree from Pepperdine University in 1997. Employed with Quaker Oats 1984-2005. Owner of JMS Coins. President of PNG in 2024.
In 2025 he was on the Coin World List of 100 Most Influentail People in Numismatics.
