General correspondence files of the U.S. Mint, 1792-1899 (204 boxes total). Boxes 1 through 45, representing 1792-1857, were scanned in Philadelphia under the direction of R. W. Julian, operating via a grant from the Central States Numismatic Society. Subsequent boxes are courtesy of John Graffeo. The National Archives online catalog record for this entry is https://catalog.archives.gov/id/561197.

Note: Box 1 covers 1792-1797, while box 2 contains the Chief Coiner's account of Laborer's Wages for 1795 and 1796. Following this the series is chronological although some boxes occasionally contain stray items outside the specified date range.
