Professor Byron N. Rooks of Leavenworth, Kansas is named as a consignor. A 1794 silver dollar was graded “very good to fine for coin” was lot 427, a 1776 CURENCY pewter dollar was offered in lot 1054, several important territorial gold pieces were offered, as was a nice selection of early U.S. gold coins that included a 1797 quarter eagle graded Extremely fine. Lot 1600 was an exceptional 1850 Baldwin & Co. ten-dollar gold piece. The sale closed with a fractional currency shield.
