Multi-Media Summary

At the turn of the 20th century, in the Rocky Mountain mining town of Victor, Colorado, Joseph Lesher issued octagonal, 1-ounce silver medals that were redeemable by local merchants. ANA Treasurer Adna Wilde Jr., who has assembled a comprehensive listing of such pieces, explains how they came to be issued and what he has discovered through his studies. Lecture with slides.
