Many noted sculptors were selected to design coins for the traditional U.S. commemorative series (1892 - 1954). Laura Gardin Fraser, Chester Beach, Hans Schuler and Charles Keck are just a few. These sculptors were often also commissioned to produce commemorative medals - sometimes in conjunction with their coin designs. The talk surveys some of the many high-relief commemorative medals crated by U.S. Commem designers, including:
- Charles Keck - designer of VT commend of 1927, Lynchburg of 1936, ex. Of fry's tavern on Battle of Bennington
- Hans Schuler, 1874 - 1951 MD Tercentenary, B& O RR medal
- Henry Keels 1899 - 1963, CT Tercentenary, AK Centennial, Bridge St. Centennial
- Laura Gardin Frasser 1889-1966, 1921 Alabama, 1922 Grant, 1925 FT Vancouver, 1926 Oregon- obverse with her husband, who did the reverse
- Anthony de Francisci, Maine
