Many noted sculptors were selected to design coins for the traditional U.S. commemorative series (1892 - 1954). Laura Gardin Fraser, Chester Beach, Hans Schuler and Charles Keck are just a few. These sculptors were often also commissioned to produce commemorative medals - sometimes in conjunction with their coin designs. The talk surveys some of the many high-relief commemorative medals crated by U.S. Commem designers, including: - Charles Keck - designer of VT commend of 1927, Lynchburg of 1936, ex.
