Two volumes, complete. 8vo, later matching tan half morocco, gilt, with mottled sides; spines with five raised bands, ruled, lettered and decorated in gilt and black; mottled endpapers. (4), xxiv, 420; (4), 571, (1) pages; engraved frontispiece plate; 38 additional engraved plates of coins. Spotted, seemingly as always; very good or better. The scarce second edition of the first substantial guide book to the value of coins, now augmented with handsomely engraved plates of coins. First published in 1815, with a more commonly encountered third edition in 1858 (Leitzmann cites a third edition of 1847, but this appears to be in error). Leitzmann 91.
