Born in Morristown, New Jersey. Employed with Allstate Coins 1987 to 1992. Owner of Eagle Eye Rare Coins after 1992.
Snow began collecting coins in 1972 and specializes in Flying Eagle and Indian cent patterns and varieties. Founder in 1991 and first president of the Fly-In Club AKA Flying Eagle and Indian Cent Collector's Society.
Author of Flying Eagle & Indian Cents published in October 1992. Author of A Guide Book of Flying Eagle and Indian Head Cents.
He received the ANA Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in 2007. He was named ANA Numismatist of the Year in 2010.
In 2021 he was on the Coin World list of The Most Influential People in Numismatics 1960-2020.bio by correspondence, 1993

PDS Grading System
Rick Snow's PDS grading system proposal, released at the Anaheim ANA on August 11, 2016. Snow proposed split grades evaluating the planchet, die, and strike separately, and a combined grade representing the sum of the split grades.
