Watson, Jesse
Born in Oakdale, Louisiana. Received B.A. from the University of Texas in 1922; M.A. in 1924; Ph.D. from Brookings Graduate School of Economics and Government in 1929. Employed at the Ohio Institute 1926 to 1930. Director Bureau of Business Res University of Pittsburgh 1942 to 1954. Professor of Economics at University of Pittsburgh 1954 to 1966, retired in 1966. Resident of Pittsburgh in 1974.
Author of The Bureau of the Mint: Its History, Activities and Organization in 1926.
