Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Married Lois Hedrick July 2, 1942. They had three daughters and a son. Received B.S. from Lawrence University in 1931 and M.S. from Northwestern University in 1932.
Employed with J. Walter Thompson advertising agency 1945 to 1961. On faculty of Indiana University Business School 1957 to 1959. With West Indies & Caribbean Development LTD after 1961. He retired in 1974.
He served on the Assay Commission for 1957. Author of The United States Trade Dollar: America's Only Unwanted, Unhonored Coin in 1959. It was revised in 1965. He was a fellow of the ANS.
He died in Port Washington, Long Island, New York.
